HOPE FOR THE PAST

WE CAN HAVE HOPE FOR THE PAST, BECAUSE GOD CARES

Jesus,

Immanuel,

God With Us,

came in the flesh to be one of us.

Jesus suffered and hurt.

He is aware of our pain, trials, temptations, mistakes and problems.

HE CARES.

Jesus wept. John 11:35.

Jesus cared for his mother even while on the cross John 19:25-27.

Jesus told the thief, "TODAY YOU WILL BE WITH ME IN PARADISE" Lk. 23:43

He cares for all of us, even those who were hurting him.

He said, "Father, forgive them for they know not what they do." Lk. 23:34.

Jesus was crucified, for us, Eph. 5:1-2.

Consider what Christ gave up for us, HE CARES. Phil. 2:5-11.

He has gone to prepare a place in Heaven for us. John 14:2

KNOWING THAT SUCH A ONE CARES FOR US, GIVES US HOPE.

All of us are sinners. Rom. 3:23

All of us have past sins, but in Christ we can be forgiven. 1 Cor. 6:9-11

Paul was the worst of sinners, but Paul was forgiven. 1 Tim 1:13-16.

Peter betrayed Christ, but we know Peter was forgiven from John 21:15 ---

Jesus suffered and bore the punishment for our sins. 1 Peter 2:24.

HE SUCCEEDED! He could say in truth: "IT IS FINISHED" John 19:30.

Christ can clean us up just as he fed the hungry. HE CARES

On the cross He said "I am thirsty", John 19;28.

Now we have the opportunity to help. Matt 25:37-40
